The Magnesium Deficiency Problem

Magnesium deficiency is a real problem here in America.

2 out of 3 people do not meet their daily requirement of magnesium, around 500 mg. Magnesium deficiencies are linked to anxiety, constipation, sleeplessness, fatigue, food cravings, headaches, poor concentration, and much more.

A long-term magnesium deficiency is even linked to issues like hormonal imbalance, diabetes, hypo and hyperthyroidism, liver and kidney disease, and issues related to obesity.

Magnesium is found in every single cell within our bodies! How amazing is that?! It aids in insulin regulation, healthy sleep, and hormone balance, and it also helps synthesize our DNA and facilitates fat metabolism. The bottom line is that It's vital to our health and longevity.

The easiest ways to increase your magnesium intake are to incorporate magnesium-rich foods into your diet. Foods that contain magnesium include:

  • asparagus

  • avocado

  • bananas (green bananas have a higher magnesium content. Having one before bed can aid sleep!)

  • beet greens

  • brazil nuts

  • brown rice

  • cashews

  • kiwis

  • peas

  • prunes

  • squash

Another addition to your daily routine is a magnesium supplement. The best one I've found (clean ingredients, sustainably processed, whole materials, etc.) is EASE Magnesium spray by Activation Products.
